FECUN, The International Journal on Futures of Education, Culture and Nature – Learning to Become  is an international peer-reviewed and open access online journal that focuses on the interplay between education, culture and nature in the past, present and future, with a strong emphasis on the future challenges and possibilities emerging in this complex interplay.

The FECUN journal publishes articles and essays addressing this intersection between education, culture, and nature from the vantage point of different research disciplines, such as philosophy, sociology, anthropology, psychology, history, economy, political science, etc. Furthermore, in FECUN we value epistemic diversity and are dedicated to publishing research that adopts a broad outlook on the production of knowledge.

The journal also serves as a vibrant hub for knowledge production and exchange between scholars doing research in different forms of Higher Education Institutions (such as universities, polytechnic, and vocational HEIs) and other research institutions, such as museums. The journal welcomes well-founded, novel, and innovative research of theoretical and empirical and equally aims to publish articles with a strong practice outlook.

The journal is part of the overall FECUN project and regularly publishes thematic issues and conference issues. The conference issues consist of selected papers and articles delivered at the Futures of Education conference series.
